Technology and it’s Impact on Connectivity, Intimacy and Recovery;
Help or Hindrance? May 11th, 2010

Technology has created a new dimension of connection in our society. From Facebook to Twitter, e-mails to text messaging, we are always able to be in touch. Mental health and emotional stability has been tied to issues of connection, attachment and emotional security. Addiction has been tied to glitches in the capacity for achievement of healthy attachment and connection. This workshop explores the issues of attachment, connection, addiction and recovery as well as examining the role of technology in assisting the recovery process or creating an increase in addiction and compulsion.

Michael M. Crocker, MA, LCSW will be providing this workshop for the Meadows Free Lecture series on May 11th, 2010 located at the Church of St Paul the Apostle at 405 West 59th street, room 101 .
