groups that are presenting with sexual compulsivity/addiction, impulse
control disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder, sexual aggression, sexual
abuse symptomatology, depression, anxiety and post traumatic stress disorder.
Currently treat an estimated thirty-eight individuals, two couples and
one men’s group.

and one intermediate group for individuals presenting with sexual addiction
as well as treating between ten and fifteen individual patients.

Position includes providing counseling and therapy services addressing
issues of abuse, trauma, sexuality and developmental disability in addition
to treatment services to address interpersonal maladjustment and family
related issues. Overall responsibility for the coordination of the Shield
Abuse and Trauma Project, a project specializing in the treatment of individuals
with developmental disabilities who have experienced abuse or other traumatic
experiences resulting in emotional, behavioral and/or interpersonal difficulties.
Provide training and technical assistance services locally, statewide
and nationally on issues related to sexuality and developmental disability,
abuse prevention and intervention and counseling and psychotherapy strategies
for individuals with developmental disabilities.

providing training, technical assistance, information and resource provision
related to issues of abuse and disability. Responsibilities included grant
writing, contract management, budget monitoring, hiring and program implementation.
Program area of specialization included abuse prevention and intervention.
